(August 30, 2010) - WPFC ’99 Boys Black won the Bellingham Pacific Coast Challenge tournament this past weekend over a strong Canadian team, CMFSC FC Galaxy (Coquitlam, BC) 2 - nil. The boy’s advanced to the championship in their toughest match of the tourney V Pacific FC Fire by a score of 3-2. The team swept their group stage over Eastside FC, Little Mexico and NW Nationals scoring 21 goals and only allowing one. The team finished their tournament run with 26 GF and only 3 GA.

(August 23, 2010) - ’95 ECNL Mariah Lee was named to the WA State, Region IV, and selected to the National ODP ’96 Player Pool. Lee also excels off the pitch, carrying a 4.0 G.P.A., with her favorite subject in school being English. (August 17, 2010) - WPFC boys took home five championships at the 2010 Rainier Challenge and placed ten finalists in all. Our ’00 Black topped Westsound ’00 Red 4-1, ’97 Black dominated Crossfire ’98 James 5-1,  ’96 Black blanked City Strikers ’96 Kallis 6-0, ’94 White blanked Westsound ’94 Black 2-0, ’94 Black eased past GRFC ’94 Blue 4-2.

(August 11, 2010) - WPFC took home five championships at the 2010 Rainier Challenge and placed seven finalists in all. Our girls U12 Black blanked Crossfire 98 A 2-0, girls U14 Black edged Crossfire 96 Brazil 1-0, girls U15 ECNL topped our girls U15 Black 3-1, girls U16 ECNL eased past Synergy FC Clark 5-0, and in the game of the day, girls U14 White edged South Hill Revolution 2-1 in kicks from the mark.

(August 8, 2010) - Congratulations to our ’92 ECNL who won the Gold Division of the prestigious San Diego Surf Cup last weekend.  The team swept their preliminary games in bracket A over HSC Bulls ’93 (HI) 2-1, San Diego Surf SC 92-93 Premiere (CA) 1-1, and South Central Premier Select (CT) 1-0.

(August 7, 20101) - WPFC Boys ’00 Black dominated the 2010 Washington Games Classic at Starfire scoring 24 goals without conceding any in regular play. The boys continued their winning ways with another victory (8-1) in the Championship Game. The boys have won 7 out of 9 games in their first two tournaments scoring 66 goals and conceding only 17.

(August 3, 2010) - WPFC ’94 black players Jacob Beardemphl ’95 and McKay Owsley ’94 were selected to attend the Sounders FC WA ODP Boys’ Regional Camp in McMinnville, OR, July 12-17.  McKay Owsley was chosen for the ’94 Region IV pool and went on to attend camp in Ontario, CA, July 26-30. McKay will find out late in September if he was selected for the Region IV travel team to play in the inter-regional tournament in Florida and international trip.

(July 27, 2010) - WPFC took home three championships at the 2010 Stanno Tyee Cup. Boys ’98 Black who won the Gold Division topping Bainbridge Island FC Blue 4-0 in the final to earn the fish trophy. Girls ’00 Black team won the the Jamboree Championship at Stanno Habor Tyee Cup this past weekend finishing 3-0-1 in the GU-10 bracket.  Boys ’98 White won it’s championship with a 5 nil victory.

(July 27, 2010) - WPFC ’94 ECNL continues its great form winning the Lake Oswego Nike Cup this past weekend, defeating the Oregon State Champions, THUSC Ireland, in the finals to win the championship. The week prior they also captured the Nike Crossfire Championship.  Congratulations to Coach Peter Voiles and the girls!
