Rainier Challenge Champs

The ’96 White team won the Copa Division and the ’96 Black team won the Samba Division at last weekend’s 2008 Rainier Challenge tournament. In Bracket play, the White team scored scored 12 goals and gave up just 5 WITH victories against NWN, EFC Blue and ECFC White. Their opening game loss to FPSC Fury (0-3) was avenged when the two teams met again in the final (2-0).

Scoring was led by Evan (5), Jaylon (2), Luke (2), William (2), Isaiah in the Copa Division, the ‘96 White team scored 12 goals and gave up 5 in bracket play against FPSC Fury 96 (WA), Emerald City FC M96 White (WA), EFC BU-12 Blue (WA), NWN ’96 Blue. The squad’s outstanding defensive effort lead by -- Alex, Adrian, Gavin, Grant, Mark and Tanner.

In the Samba Division, the ‘96 Black team scored 15 goals and gave up just 1 in bracket play against EFC White, GRFC Blue, Salmon Creek Juventus, and ECFC Green. The Final against Eastside Red was a battle to the end. With a score of 2-0, WPFC ’96 Black earned the victory. Congratulations Coach Ralph Black, Coach Abdella Hussen and all the U-12 Boys.
